Transformation in North London.
This one bedroom flat, located on the ground floor of an 1895 Victorian terrace, was run-down, dingy and suffered from a poorly configured floor plan. A new rear extension, and interior remodel, transformed this property into a spacious, contemporary and light-filled two bedroom apartment.
Old dog. New tricks.
The layout was back to front. Living spaces were situated at the front of the property, with no garden access, along with a small windowless single bedroom at the rear. A new rear extension ‘unlocked’ the plan, creating two double bedrooms plus a delightful kitchen / living space opening onto a new terrace. A dramatic asymmetrical vaulted ceiling gives the space a light, airy and deceptively spacious feel.
We designed a bespoke feature wall which provides a continuous visual element through kitchen and living spaces, seamlessly connecting old and new.
This feature wall incorporates a feature fireplace and stove, integrated push-open cupboards, book shelves and even a hidden TV!
We selected birch plywood, with a lacquer finish, for a warm and natural aesthetic yet long lasting and durable finish.
Smart solutions.
Devil in the detail.
We care about details. On this project we even designed the light-fittings!
